Midwestern University is following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and requiring all patients over the age of 2 to wear a face covering when entering any of our clinic buildings. This includes our waiting area and clinical exam rooms where community based transmission is possible. Any patient who brings a driver or another individual to the appointment must abide by the same rules of wearing a face covering.

Students provide comprehensive, compassionate care while building interpersonal relationships with their patients. All care is provided under the supervision and direction of licensed dental faculty.

The Midwestern University Dental Institute provides most of the same services you would receive at a private dental office including, Dental Cleanings, X-rays, Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Extractions, and Oral Surgery.

We also offer dental and orthodontic treatment for most young persons.

College of Dental Medicine Arizona

Based at MWU's Glendale Campus, the College of Dental Medicine-Arizona offers a four-year curriculum that includes academic coursework in the basic sciences, the behavioral sciences, and the clinical sciences; preclinical simulation studies; practical clinical dentistry; and community clinical rotations that follow the guidelines of the American Dental Association and the Commission on Dental Education.

College of Dental Medicine - Arizona

The Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) program is based on concepts of a humanistic culture of mutual respect, a focus on general dentistry, and preparation for licensure and practice of general dentistry upon graduation. Its contemporary curriculum features integrated, systems-based basic sciences; integrated, simulation-based preclinical oral health sciences; and integrated, patient-based clinical dentistry sciences. Learning is case-based and grounded in scientific evidence. The core curriculum is supplemented with course sequences in ethics and professionalism, practice management, advanced clinical dentistry, and community service.

COMPREHENSIVE CARE

At the Dental Institute patients will receive comprehensive oral health care which starts with a thorough, examination.  The Student Dentist and faculty member discuss the results of the exam and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.

As part of your treatment we can provide a wide variety of services, including but not limited to: dental cleanings,  tooth restorations, custom bridges to fill in gaps created by missing teeth, dental implants, removable appliances such as partial and full dentures, minor oral surgery procedures and esthetic procedures such as veneers and tooth whitening.

URGENT CARE

During business hours the Dental Institute will also see patients with urgent oral health care needs.  People experiencing discomfort, irritation or unpleasant conditions that may include, but are not necessarily limited to: swelling, mild fever,  broken dental restorations or appliances should contact the Dental Institute to make an appointment for urgent care.

In case of emergencies after normal hours of operation, involving severe pain and/or swelling, please call If you are not a patient of record at the Dental Institute, please call your nearest hospital or urgent care center.

If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call or go to the nearest hospital emergency center.
