1. Reverb Payments

The Reverb Payments (f/k/a Direct Checkout) service is the universal payment system that allows Reverb buyers to choose from all payment methods available on and Reverb mobile apps. Payments made to users may not be immediate and may be delayed for a number of reasons. You agree to accept possible delays as a consequence of using Reverb Payments and waive all claims against, LLC associated with such delays. 1. Reverb Credits Require Use of Reverb Payments

A. Reverb Credits Require Reverb Payments   In order to buy or sell items using Reverb Credits (a “Reverb Credits Transaction”), such Buyer or seller must be a Registered Seller with a Reverb Payments Checkout Account (“Reverb Payments Account”) and agree to the terms associated therewith. Reverb Credits may only be spent and are only accepted through Reverb Payments. Reverb Payments allows Registered Sellers to accept authorized credit card transactions or Reverb gift card payments.

B. No Agency   Reverb helps facilitate marketplace transactions. It is not the purchaser of any seller’s goods and it is not the agent of a buyer in a transaction through the Site. Reverb’s receipt of a payment through Reverb Payments is related to a transaction between a Registered Seller and the relevant buyer and not Reverb or any of Reverb’s affiliates. Reverb provides a payment processing platform for Registered Sellers and it is not a party to any transaction through the Site. See Reverb’s general Terms of Use for more information.

C. Reverb Payments Availability   Reverb Payments is generally available seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day, except for scheduled downtime due to system maintenance. This is not, however, a warranty or guarantee of any such availability, but merely a projection of estimated availability. By using the Site you accept that delays and outages are inevitable, acknowledge that the site is being provided “AS IS” and with all faults, and waive any claims with respect to the same.

D. Reverb Payments Eligibility   Reverb Payments is only available to sellers who and are approved for a Reverb Payments Account (a “Registered Seller”). Sellers must meet the following requirements to obtain and maintain Registered Seller status: (a) sellers must be at least 18 years old to register for a Reverb Payments Account; (b) prior to enrolling, sellers must register bank account information and undergo identity verification; (c) sellers must be current on all Reverb fees and have valid payment information on file; (d) once enrolled, sellers must maintain an average of 4 of 5 star or 80% positive feedback ratio to continue to participate in Reverb Payments; (e) once enrolled, sellers must maintain a rate of order cancellation below 10% of their total order volume; (f) prior to enrolling, sellers must publish policies for refunds and returns for their shops; (g) once enrolled, sellers must maintain policies for refunds and returns for their shops; and (h) once enrolled, sellers must continue to comply with this Agreement.

E. Reverb Payments Modifications   Reverb Payments functionality may be made available, modified, or discontinued by us at any time without notice and is subject to the limitations in Reverb’s general Terms of Use.

F. Transaction Limits   As a security measure, we may impose transaction limits on some or all Buyers, and/or Registered Sellers on any transaction, deposit, or adjustment, the cumulative value of all transactions, deposits, or adjustments, or the number of transactions per day or during any other period of time. We will not be liable to a Registered Seller: (i) if we do not proceed with a transaction, deposit, or adjustment that would exceed any limit established by us; or (ii) if we permit a Buyer to withdraw from a transaction to avoid exceeding a Reverb-established transaction limit.

G. Right to Refuse Service   We may refuse service to anyone, for any reason, at any time.

2. Reverb Credits Transactions

A. Authorization   Buyers may only authorize a Reverb Credits Transaction if at least part of the total payment is being made with Reverb Credits.

B. Compliance with Terms of Use   By registering for Reverb Credits, a Registered Seller agrees to always comply with and to sell items in accordance with Reverb’s general Terms of Use.

C. Reverb Credits are Solely for Reverb Transactions   The use of Reverb Credits must be solely for the sale and purchase of items listed on the Site. A Registered Seller agrees to ship sold item(s) once the Reverb Credits Transaction is complete and reflected in the Reverb Payments Account. Reverb reserves the right to terminate Registered Seller’s access to Reverb Credits or Reverb Payments if the Registered Seller is determined to be using Reverb Credits or Reverb Payments Payments for transfer of funds not related to the sale of items listed on the Site.

D. Right to Reject High Risk Transactions   Reverb reserves the right to decline any Reverb Credits Transactions that we have reason to believe may be high risk, fraudulent, or in violation of this Agreement. Reverb also retains the right to refuse to complete any transaction in Reverb Credits at any time and for any reason. In the event of such a refusal, the transaction will be completed in ordinary currency with no associated Reverb Credits Boost.

E. Fraud   Reverb will bear the risk of credit card fraud (i.e. fraudulent purchase arising from the theft and unauthorized use of a third party’s credit card information) occurring in connection with Reverb Credits Transactions. In the event a Registered Seller or Buyer is indirectly or directly involved with and/or participates in any credit card fraud, Reverb will not be liable and such Registered Seller or Buyer will be subject to indemnification obligations set forth in Reverb’s general Terms of Use. Additionally, such Registered Seller or Buyer’s access to the Site may be terminated immediately. Reverb retains the right to contact the appropriate law enforcement agency and to report the Registered Seller or Buyer’s activities on the Site. In the event Reverb exercises this right, or if a Registered Seller or Buyer is found in violation of this provision, the Registered Seller or Buyer hereby consents to the disclosure of any information, including personal information, to any appropriate law enforcement agency.

F. Privacy    Reverb maintains records associated with Reverb Credits Transactions and does not pass any confidential data, including credit card numbers, to Registered Sellers. Registered Sellers will receive shipping information and limited Buyer account information only as needed to complete the order. Use of this information is dictated by our Privacy Policy.

1. General Gift Card Terms/Redemption

In order to redeem a Reverb Gift Card, you should go here.

  • Redemption of a gift card will require you to be a registered Reverb user.
  • Reverb Gift Cards are transferable prior to the point of code redemption on
  • Once a Gift Card is redeemed, the associated credit can not be transferred to a different account.
  • Reverb is not responsible for any misplaced or lost Gift Cards or Gift Card codes.
  • Reverb Gift Cards do not expire.
  • No fees are associated with Reverb Gift Cards.
  • Gift Cards are non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Once redeemed, Reverb Gift Card credit will be added to a buyer's account in the form of "Reverb Credits" which will be automatically used with the next applicable purchase.
  • If you do not use the entire Reverb Gift Card, the remaining balance will stay in your account as Reverb Credits.

The use of Gift Cards is void where prohibited by law.

2. Other Sources of Reverb Credit

In addition to Gift Card redemption, Reverb credit in the form of "Reverb Credits" may also be accrued through other means including balances and differences from Reverb Payments payments and customer service accommodations at the sole discretion of the Reverb staff. These credits follow the same terms as outlined here for Gift Cards both in terms of eligibility and transferability. You can learn more about Reverb Credits above.

3. Gift Card and Reverb Credits Payment Eligibility

Reverb Gift Cards and Reverb Credits may only be used through the Reverb Payments system. The use is limited to items sold by sellers with Reverb Payments enabled on their account. For purchases exceeding the amount of credit associated with a Gift Card, the balance must be paid via Credit Card, or other acceptable forms of payment on the item. At this time, PayPal cannot be used to pay the balance on the order. For more information on Reverb Payments, please click on this link. Gift Card credit can not be used to pay Reverb selling fees.

4. Obtaining a Balance

Total credit including Gift Card redemptions on an individual account can be seen on an account home page. Balance on a given Gift Card can be obtained by contacting Reverb support directly. 5. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By purchasing or redeeming a Gift Card or Gift Card Code on Reverb or accepting Reverb Credits, you agree to these stated Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change. All activities in connection with Reverb Gift Cards will be used and comply with these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including the general Terms of Use located here.

How will this affect my sales?

Reverb Payments lets buyers around the world pay you quickly and securely, in their preferred local method, without leaving our site, leading to more sales. Most shoppers prefer the convenience and ease of paying by credit card to using PayPal. Turning on Reverb Payments also allows buyers to use Reverb Bucks and gift cards* at your store (but no worries—you'll still be paid out by direct deposit.)

It doesn't cost anything to opt into Reverb Payments. Like PayPal, fees are only charged as a percentage of the total sale after it’s made. Because of local processing regulation, fees vary by country, but in general are up to 25% less than PayPal. Preferred Sellers qualify for an even lower rate. See your country’s costs here.

When will I receive my funds?

For your first sale, Reverb initiates your payout 1-2 business days following confirmation of delivery. For subsequent sales, Reverb initiates a payout when a valid tracking number shows the item is in transit. Payout approval can take up to two business days.** A valid tracking number MUST be provided in order to confirm the item has been shipped before dispersing payouts. Payout times vary based on existing feedback ratings, sales volume, Preferred Seller status, price of the item, and shipping destination. Read the full Reverb Payments Terms of Use for specifics.

Who is eligible to apply for Affirm financing?

Affirm is available to United States residents 18 years or older. Shipping and billing addresses must be located within the US.

How do I offer Affirm financing on my listings?

If your shop currency is USD and you accept Reverb Payments, your listings will automatically offer Affirm financing. You can confirm you accept Reverb Payments in your Shop Currency & Payment Settings. If your shop currency is not USD, you're unable to offer Affirm financing at this time.

What is Affirm?

Affirm is a financing alternative to credit cards and other credit payment products. Affirm offers instant financing for purchases online. With Affirm, you can buy and receive your purchase now, and pay for it in fixed monthly installments over the course of 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, or 36 months.

  • Buy and receive your purchase now, and pay for it over 3-36 months. This allows you to split up the price of your purchase into fixed payment amounts that fit your monthly budget.
  • You don’t need to have a credit card to make a purchase.
  • You may be eligible for Affirm financing even if you don’t have an extensive credit history. Affirm bases its loan decision not only on your credit score, but also on several other data points about you.
  • The application process is secure and instantaneous. Affirm asks you for a few pieces of information. After you provide this information, Affirm will notify you of the loan amount you’re approved for, the interest rate, and the number of months you will have to pay off your loan, all within seconds.
  • Affirm does not charge hidden fees. If Affirm approves you for a loan, Affirm discloses your loan terms before you make your purchase. How does Affirm work?

Here are the steps in the Affirm loan application process:

  1. Select to pay with Affirm at checkout.
  2. Affirm will prompt you to enter a few pieces of information – your name, email, mobile phone number, date of birth, and the last four digits of your social security number. Please ensure that all of this information is your own and is consistent information otherwise you may experience difficulty with your checkout.
  3. To ensure that you’re the person making the purchase, Affirm will send a text message to your cell phone with a unique authorization code.
  4. Enter the authorization code into the application form. Within a few seconds, Affirm will notify you of the loan amount you’re approved for, the interest rate, and the number of months you will have to pay off your loan. Rates vary from 0-30% APR over 3-36 months depending on the seller and based on creditworthiness. Affirm will also state the amount of your fixed, monthly payments and the total amount of interest you’ll pay over the course of the loan.
  5. If you would like to accept Affirm’s financing offer, click “Confirm Loan” and you’re done.

Going forward, you’ll get monthly email and SMS reminders about your upcoming payments. You can also set up autopay to avoid missing a payment. Your first monthly payment will be due 30 days from the date the merchant completes processing your order.

Does Affirm do a credit check, and how does it impact my credit score?

When you first create an Affirm account, we perform a ‘soft’ credit check to help verify your identity and determine your eligibility for financing. This ‘soft’ credit check will not affect your credit score. If you apply for more loans with Affirm, we may perform additional ‘soft’ credit checks to ensure that we offer you the best financing options possible.

Why can't customers outside the U.S. use Affirm?

What are Affirm’s fees?

Rates range from 0-30% APR and 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, or 36 monthly payments based on creditworthiness. Affirm discloses any required fees upfront before you make a purchase, so you know exactly what you will be paying for your financing. Affirm does not charge any hidden fees, including annual fees.

Why is my Affirm interest rate so high?

When determining your annual percentage rate (APR), Affirm evaluates a number of factors including your credit score and many other pieces of data about you. If you finance future purchases with Affirm, you may be eligible for a lower APR depending on your financial situation at the time of purchase.

When considering Affirm, you should carefully evaluate the loan terms Affirm offers you and determine whether the monthly payments fit your budget.

How is interest on an Affirm loan calculated?

Affirm calculates the annual percentage rate (APR) of a loan using simple interest, which equals the rate multiplied by the loan amount and by the number of months the loan is outstanding. This is different from compound interest, in which the interest expense is calculated on the loan amount and also the accumulated interest on the loan from previous periods. You can think about compound interest as “interest on interest,” which can make the your loan amount grow larger and larger. Credit cards, for example, use compound interest to calculate the interest expense on outstanding credit card debt.

Making Payments and Refunds

How do I make my payments?

Before each payment is due, Affirm will send you reminders via email and SMS that will include the installment amount that is coming due and the due date. You can also sign up for autopay so you don’t risk missing a payment.

Please follow these steps to make a payment:

  1. Go to

  3. Enter this security pin into the form on the next page and click “Sign In.”
  4. You’ll now see a list of your loans and payments coming due. Click on the loan payment you would like to make.
  5. You can make a payment utilizing a debit card or ACH bank transfer.

How long does it take to get my money back in the event of a return?

You should see a refund from Affirm post within 3 to 10 business days, depending on your bank’s processing time.

How do refunds work on items I return?

A refund will post to your Affirm account if we process your refund request. In the event that we issue you store credit instead of a refund, you will still be responsible for paying off your Affirm loan.

If you have already made loan payments or a down-payment, Affirm will issue you a refund credit to the bank account or debit card that you used to make the payments. You should see a refund credit within 3 to 10 business days, depending on your bank’s processing time.

Can I amend my order after my purchase has been processed? Can I be approved for a higher loan amount if my purchase amount increases?

Unfortunately, you cannot edit your order after you have confirmed your loan. If you would like to add items to your purchase, you can apply for another loan with Affirm or use a different payment method.
