Very clean and comfortable. Few minutes drive to delightful Morro Bay. Conveniently located next door to a supermarket and Taco Temple, a must for dinner. The biggest burritos we’ve ever seen! Overall great place to stay!

It seemed there were power surges causing this. Besides that, the room was comfortable and spacious. The staff was very friendly and the location was centralized to everything in Morro Bay.

Our family of four stayed here for a couple of nights on a recent trip from San Francisco to Morro Bay. Our Irish relatives stayed across the street in a newer and more expensive inn. There were few differences between the two but the price. We had a great view of the Bay right out front but we couldn't see the rock from our 2nd floor room. Our relatives had a wrap around balcony and a panoramic view of the entire bay, rock, marina and estuary from their room. We paid just 40 dollars less per night than our Irish relatives for a good, but not luxury, room. As the season ends (mid September) it seems that the price of the 456 Embarcadero rooms decrease significantly. We had a peaceful and enjoyable stay at the above inn but for the price, it certainly wasn't value for money. I also was not happy that we were told there is a charge of 10 dollars for charging our electric vehicle overnight. Instead we travelled to Atascadero and SLO to use the superchargers.

From my perspective, all of the important issues were met: the place was clean, room was not cramped, bed was very comfortable, services/appliances functional, near the harbor on a quiet street. But I have paid twice as much in Morro Bay for a bad night's sleep.

We compared this hotel to others in the area and we were not disappointed. The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly, the room was well appointed, very clean and a quaint mix of traditional and new with a nice view to boot. Parking was available in the hotel. For the price paid this hotel was more than good value for money.

A friend and I taking road trip through CA. Our first stop. Very clean and the beds were amazing, so comfortable, sheets and pillows soft and comfortable. Owner recommended a place for dinner. Best swordfish, on dock, could not have been any fresher. Walking distance to every thing. A definite place to stay. Family owners so accommodating.

Not worth the price, the breakfast is served at the reception on small plastic plates, there is no place to eat your breakfast, you have to bring it back on a tray in your bedroom. The wi-fi was on and off the whole time, the bedrooms were really noisy, and the bathroom really needs to be redecorated. The only good thing was the location of the hotel, way too expensive...

We had a perfect stay at the Pleasant Inn in Morro Bay. Lovely, very comfortable room and helpful staff helped to make this a wonderful stop over on our trip north. I would recommend it due to the location in Morro Bay - walking distance to almost everything in Morro Bay. I would stay again if the price was right (I got a very good price on this hotel--better than others due to a special rate Agoda was giving). We kept asking for two extra towels but never received them (they only gave one towel each per person and that's difficult if you want to put hour hair in a towel. We stayed 4 nights. We asked every day when the housekeeping came by - nope - not once! Second challenge was at check-in we asked for a room that had a view of Morro Rock - which could be seen on the 2nd floor. The lady looked for a room (staying 4 nights). Any room on the second floor would have accommodated our request except for the room in front of the stairway. What room did we get? Stairway room! Oh well! We adjusted to it.

Book Hotels in Morro Bay, CA

There is nothing quite like the sleepy Central California beach town of Morro Bay. If you crave surfing and small town charm, you want to book one of the flights to San Luis Obispo and look for hotels in Morro Bay. Located at the center of the American Pacific Coast, this town gives you true flip flop and hoodie living.

Out and About in Morro Bay

Predominating the horizon is Morro Rock, a protected bird sanctuary right on the beach. Dotted with surfers, kite fliers, and beachcombers, Morro Bay Beach runs 6 miles to Cayucos Pier; spend the morning gathering sand dollars along the shoreline and exploring the tide pools. Most cheap hotels in Morro Bay are nestled among antique shops and are within walking distance to the Embarcadero (the hub of souvenir shopping and bay cruises). Be sure to visit the art galleries for local art and a nursery of local vegetation. Do you hear barking? That means the sea lions at Morro Bay Aquarium are calling you to feed them—they will be sure to bark their thanks. When you have your ocean fix, head up the coast a bit to tour Hearst Castle—the "ranch house" of millionaire newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst.

Eating and Drinking

Morro Bay hotels by the Embarcadero put you close to fresh seafood. Sample fresh fish and chips from walk-up windows dotting the harbor—just be sure you eat more than the seagulls do! Nothing says you've been to the beach like a bag of salt water taffy. Here, you can buy it by the bucket load. Up the hillside from the beach, you can enjoy clam chowder and fine dining overlooking the bay. While there, be sure to try an "805," a famous local brew named for the area code.

When scheduling Morro Bay vacations, remember the Travelocity Price Guarantee. Travelocity will match a lower price and refund the difference. This ought to give you enough cash to feed fish to those greedy sea lions.
